Fungal nail is an unsightly condition that causes the nail to discolour and thicken. At The Bell Practice we provide the latest solutions to treat fungal nails with results usually visible within 2-8 weeks.

Clearanail Treatment 

Clearanail is an advanced fungal nail treatment for people who can't or don't want to take systemic medication.

This state of the art equipment drills a line of microscopic holes in the nail plate so that topical treatments can penetrate and effectively treat the nail infection. The idea is to create a firewall that the infection can not pass allowing healthy nails to grow out from the root.

We also use the Lunula laser if required, which is a safe, fast, pain free way to kill the fungus and stimulate nail growth. We discuss the options with you and provide you a treatment that is as painless and convenient as possible.

Removal of Nail Plate

Removal of nail plate through UREA ointment, allows us to gently, painlessly separate the infected nail from the nail bed and at a subsequent appointment remove the infected nail.

In severe cases where the root of the nail (germinal matrix) is infected surgery is sometimes required to remove the nail and then let it grow back.

Antifungals are applied topically to help prevent reinfection.
